Profit + Sustainability
This is what we do, as consultants and entrepreneurs
Profitable sustainable solutions to complex problems
We believe that all companies can be more profitable and sustainable, but the solutions and barriers are complex.
Lavery/Pennell exists to make these complex opportunities possible and valuable.
We bring passion, a collaborative style, decades of solving tough problems, and hands-on experience with new business models, resource efficiency, cleantech and product/service innovation.
We have identified billions of dollars of value for some of the world’s leading companies both through revenue growth and cost reduction – and established disruptive new startups like Rype Office.

Receive the latest thinking on sustainable innovation
In 2011 we spun out of Booz & Company (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton) to capture the substantial value available from more sustainable business approaches. We do this through consulting, investing and starting new companies.
We work quickly and are unashamedly focussed on generating greater profits for our clients, partner companies and new ventures. Our new ventures are under the Rype brand (the middle 4 letters of LaveryPennell).
Our team has decades of experience in corporate strategy (Bain, Booz), engineering (Arup, Shell), line management (Bass, Origin Energy), design, innovation, entrepreneurship (Rype Office, Origin Solar, AlumniStartups), sustainability and change management.
We have first hand experience in new business models (circular resource use, shared use, servitisation), rapid lean product/service innovation, enhanced customer propositions, resource efficiency and cleantech.
We understand the value of taking a more sustainable approach to business and therefore aim to make Lavery/Pennell as sustainable as possible across four fronts: staff wellbeing, educating others on profitable sustainable solutions, greenhouse gas emissions, and the long term future of our company.
